Bacon Burger with Sweet & Savory Avocado Bacon Spread

  • 2 Avocado From Mexico, fully ripened, thinly sliced
  • 8 thick-cut slices smithfield® bacon
  • sweet & savory avocado bacon spread 
  • 2 lbs ground sirloin, formed into four patties
  • 1 tsp steak seasoning
  • 4 brioche buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • green leaf lettuce
  • 2 red tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 small red onion peeled and thinly sliced
  • Sweet & Savory Avocado Bacon Spread 
  • 4 thick-cut slices smithfield® bacon
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar 
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder 
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 
  • 1 Avocado From Mexico 
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice 
  • 1 tbsp. mayonnaise 
  • kosher salt & pepper to taste 


  1. Season each patty with steak seasoning on both sides before cooking.
  2. Use a skillet, grill pan, or a grill over high heat to cook your burgers to desired degree of doneness.
  3. When the burgers are almost finished cooking, toast the buns in a toaster oven, a dry skillet, or on the grill.
  4. Assemble the burgers by layering the bottom half of each bun with leaves of lettuce, slices of tomato, slices of onion, burger patty, a slice of cheese, slices of bacon and top with a generous scoop of Sweet & Savory Avocado Bacon Spread 
  5. Sweet & Savory Avocado Bacon Spread Instructions: 1 - Place bacon slices on a plate. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, onion powder, and garlic powder. Using your hands spread sugar & spice rub all over bacon on both sides.  2 - Chop bacon into 1/2”-pieces and place in a non-stick or cast-iron skillet. Place skillet over medium heat and cook bacon pieces until crisp, about 10 – 12 minutes. Remove crisp bacon bits from skillet using a slotted spoon.  3 - In a medium bowl, mash avocado with a fork until chunky smooth. Add lemon juice and mayonnaise and continue to mas and stir until well combined.  4 - Add sweet & savory bacon bits to avocado and stir to combine. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
