Ingredients

  • Dressing
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tb poppy seeds
  • 1 tb sesame seeds sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp dried mustard
  • 1 tb shallot, minced
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tb lemon (or lime juice)
  • 1/4 cup golden balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tb extra virgin olive oil extra virgin olive oil
  • Salad
  • 10 cups (boston bibb lettuce, baby spinach,arugula (2 bags)
  • 2 tb fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 medium ripe Avocados From Mexico, sliced
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 4 oz candied almonds or pecans candied almonds or pecans

Instructions

  1. For the dressing, combine all ingredients in a pint sized glass jar and shake well to dissolve sugar.
  2. For the salad, place greens and cilantro leaves in a large bowl. Add avocado and dried cranberries and toss gently together with dressing. Scatter candied almonds over salad and season with salt & pepper, as desired.
